Last year was a year of trying out different beauty products to see what worked for me and what didn’t. There are so many good products that I use on a daily basis, but these 6 have been game changers. I picked these products out of the line up as the winners, but they are listed in no particular order. All products are cruelty-free!
Good As Hell
My cuticles need serious help in between manicures which can be months for me and this all natural cuticle oil by Holy Chic RVA has CHANGED MY NAIL LIFE. No more ugly, breaking cuticles. This one is called Good As Hell and the name speaks for itself. It’s only $15 and only does it work good as hell and SMELLS AMAZING. I use this twice daily in the morning following my skincare routine and at night with my evening routine.

Illuminate Makeup Brushes
These brushes are from Ashley Tisdale’s makeup brand, Illuminate Cosmetics. Girlfriend knows what she is doing! She has really beautiful everyday makeup, so I watched a few of her makeup tutorials on her YouTube channel. I could tell by looking at them how soft they were and have been in desperate need of softer brushes. I could feel the hairs on the brushes I have been using poking my skin. Your face is such a delicate area and overtime I felt that they would be bad for my skin. I actually look forward to doing my makeup knowing that it will spread across my face better and be gentle on my skin. Highly recommend these! I purchased these brushes through the BH Cosmetics site, but they seem to be sold out! I have included this link for a set of soft brushes from the BH Cosmetic line similar to these by Ashley Tisdale.
$26 Cruelty-free Note: Illuminate Cosmetics is not an entirely vegan brand, but they DO have vegan products. These brushes are cruelty-free/vegan.
Elizabeth and James Nirvana Perfume Oil
I’m obsessed with the Olsen Twins and wish I could afford their designer line, but THIS can I afford and I am obsessed with the smell. I like clean perfumes, and I’m a sucker for a good oil. This perfume oil makes your skin feel soft and smell clean yet a little sweet. This is my go-to perfume when I am feeling my most badass self. This oil cost $35, but is on sale right now for $21, so it made it on the list!
$35 $21 Cruelty-free
Cactus Coconut Body Polish
This Naked Goat body polish is $23 smells so good, makes your skin feel so soft, and is the perfect exfoliator for a once a week deep scrub your skin needs. I use this scrub to shave my legs because I have sensitive skin and it really helps.
$23 Non-toxic + Cruelty-free
Glossier Priming Moisturizer
Applying the Glossier Priming Moisturizer before applying my makeup has helped the overall look and setting of my makeup so much! Clearly I use this stuff a lot, because I’m almost out, but you really only need a little bit at a time. This tube is $22 and the Glossier brand is cruelty-free! I highly recommend this for pre-makeup skincare.
Aspyn Ovard Tarte Palette
Tarte products really are all the rave. I bought the Aspyn Ovard Eye & Cheek Palette because I loved the colors when she released it. I barely got the last one, it sold out SO fast. This palette has been the first palette to ever make me really want to step outside of the box when it comes to eye shadow. It has several neutral tones for everyday use, along with a few fun shades to apply to the creases for an extra pop when wanting to dress it up a bit more. I use the blush when I’m in the mood for a darker pink tone than my everyday tone. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like this palette is currently in stock, but I wanted to recommend it as my final choice in case it does come back in stock, because I use it everyday and love it. I have included a option in the links below with a Tarte palette very similar to this one!
That concludes my round up of my 6 favorite products for 2019! I’ll be what improved my skincare routine over the last 3 months, as well as new products I have my eye on!
